Easter 2023
Had a nice quiet Easter holiday. Both churches had services but I just couldn't bring myself to go. I still have too many raw emotions at this time of year due to my Mother's passing in 2014 during the Easter period. However, I did have my friends over for a Wing Night and spice challenge via Maritime Madness spices. That was fun. I made myself a Bison meatloaf, something that I seem to do often, it just tastes so good. Many an Easter i fondly remember at my grandparents house in Lindsay Lake, Nova Scotia so I try and carry on the traditions as best I can.
A staple up here
Bannock is a big staple up here, another one I do is biscuits or scones. It's been awhile since I've made some of my bread stuff, so next grocery run I'll get some whole wheat and white flour
